The Night of Museums "Legends of the Old City"
The Night of Museums was held in Kaliningrad in 2006 for the first time, it united four museums that made such an unusual presentation of the cultural heritage under a vigorous slogan "Art instead of Sleep". Around thousand Kaliningrad residents really preferred museums of the city to sleep. In 2007, 7 museums of Kaliningrad and 6 ones of the region took part in the Night of Museums, they presented their programs under one common theme "Stories Told at Night". The stories were not only heard, but also seen by over 4000 residents of Kaliningrad and of the region.
Programme of the Kaliningrad Amber Museum for the Night of Museums 2008:
"8th Wonder of the World, or Story of the Reconstructed Master Piece" – musical, poetic, dance performance with fire-show elements to the theme of amber origin, legends and history of the Amber Room.
