Annually on 22 August Russia celebrates the Russian Federation National Flag Day. Everybody will be able to go up to the viewing platform of the Dohna Tower, where the Russian Federation flag will be set up for this special occasion.
Excursion sessions are at 12.00, 14.00, 16.00.
You can buy reduced-price tickets for 50 rubles in the museum's ticket office.
On 22 August 1991 above the White House in Moscow the three-coloured Russian flag was set up for the first time, replacing as a state symbol the red cloth with sickle and hummer.
On this day at the Special Session of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR it was decided to consider "the cloth of... white, azure, and red stripes" official national colours of Russia..
