The Third All-Russian Art Forging Plain Air has been finished at the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum. After four days of work, a metal sculpture based on motives of the Baltic legend of the "sunstone" has been installed on the museum's territory.
Everyone could watch masters working in the open area by the museum's entrance. The team of blacksmiths from Russian cities – Kaliningrad, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sergiev Posad – also included their colleague from France Maxime Plancque, member of the association "Un jour, un artisan...".
– It was very nice to work together with the Russian forgers, – he said at the plain air closing ceremony. – Our hearts were connected with the warmth of friendship the same way we connected separate metal fragments into a sculpture.
All blacksmiths-participants of the plain air got diplomas and posters of the event, which they all signed.
